The England squad wore this shirt
for the first time on the 10th of June 1997 at the Tournoi de France in Paris
when England lost 1-0 to Brazil. This shirt was only worn six times over two years
and made its last appearance in the European Championships 2000 qualification
match against Sweden on the 5th of June 1999. The emblem on this shirt was changed
from the traditional navy blue to light blue. However the traditional navy blue
lions did reappear on the next home white and red away shirts in 1999.
