England World Cup Shirts

With the 2006 World Cup about to be launched this summer - we've all seen the new shirts being paraded in the press.

But do you remember the shirts England has worn in previous world cup tournaments?

Here is what the England team have worn from the 1960's, what our heroic lads wore, from the infamous red away shirt of our 1966 World Cup Win to the least popular grey of the 1990's and to-date.

The shirt was worn for the first time by the England squad in the 2-1 friendly win against Belgium at the Stadium of light on the 10th of October 1999 in Sunderland. England wore this shirt in the last game ever played at Wembley Stadium, when England lost to Germany 1-0 in the World Cup 2002 qualification match on the 7th of October 2000. The shirt was worn a total of seven times by England, the last of which was the 2-1 win over Finland in a World Cup 2002 qualification match at Anfield Road in Liverpool on the 24th of March 2001.
