England World Cup Shirts

With the 2006 World Cup about to be launched this summer - we've all seen the new shirts being paraded in the press.

But do you remember the shirts England has worn in previous world cup tournaments?

Here is what the England team have worn from the 1960's, what our heroic lads wore, from the infamous red away shirt of our 1966 World Cup Win to the least popular grey of the 1990's and to-date.

England White home World cup shirt 2003 - 2005
White Home Shirt 2003 - 2005

This shirt was first worn by the England team in the away European Championship 2004- qualification match against Liechtenstein, on the 29th of March 2003. The shirt was worn a total of 17 times by the England squad. The main innovation in this shirt, yet another designed by Umbro, is the small gold star placed on the arm, which represents England winning the World Cup in 1966. It is the first England shirt to show the star despite popular demand by fans for many years.
