England World Cup Shirts

With the 2006 World Cup about to be launched this summer - we've all seen the new shirts being paraded in the press.

But do you remember the shirts England has worn in previous world cup tournaments?

Here is what the England team have worn from the 1960's, what our heroic lads wore, from the infamous red away shirt of our 1966 World Cup Win to the least popular grey of the 1990's and to-date.

England White home World cup shirt 1974 - 1980
White Home Shirt 1974 - 1980

Collared shirt, navy blue shorts, featuring 3 lions logo and Admiral logo. In this shirt, England competed in the qualifying rounds for both the European championships of 1976 and the World cup of 1978, but England failed to qualify for both tournaments, which resulted in the shirt being associated with failure. The England side did have some success wearing the shirt, the team qualified for the European Championship of 1980. The shirt made its last appearance on the 26th march 1980, when England beat Spain 2-0 in a friendly, at Estadio Nou Camp, in Barcelona.
